A rose is a rose is a rose

In my backyard back home in India. These roses have fragrance unlike the ones you get in the stores :)

Dissolving the differences

The Chilka lake merges with the Bay of Bengal at this location. It is amazing how the calm lake waters and the turbulent ocean waves merge so beautifully with each other. This is the shot of the boundary. You see less and less waves coming to the shore as you approach the boundary and at this point they annhilate themselves.

Innocence

Ah, those days ! Two village kids came up to our car and smiled :) A Kodak (actually, HP) moment.

Floating

A lone tree on a floating land. This is also a view from the Chilka lake.

Fishing in Chilka

I took a trip to the South-Western state of Orissa. We went to the famous Chilka lake (which is actually famous for its dolphins). We were in a boat when we saw this guy arranging the fishing nets. It was a stricking image.

Calm Waters

I am going to post some pictures from my recent trip to India here. This India is relatively unknown - unreached. The nature is less tempered with - relatively of course.

This photograph is of a reservoir from a small dam on the river Sukhi, in the tribal district of Panchmahal in Gujarat state.
